06/23/2020 Rosseti FGC UES begins upgrading Nadym 220 kV substation in Yamal with digital package The reconstruction of the Nadym 220 kV substation, the nodal power center of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, has begun. A package of digital technologies will be implemented here, including optical instrument transformers. The total volume of investments by Rosseti FGC UES amounts to 488 mn rubles. The work will be completed in 2021. The project will improve the reliability of energy supply to the region's consumers, including production facilities of Gazprom. The risk of human errors will be minimized and operational technical control costs will be reduced.
Rosseti FGC UES to install avian protection devices on seven backbone transmission lines in Yaroslavl region
The transmission lines will be equipped with 578 avian protection devices. The total length of the 220 kV transmission lines in this project is over 550 km. The work will be carried out on lines providing power supply to the region with the population of about 1.2 million people, the largest industrial and agricultural enterprises, including Slavneft-YANOS PJSC and Greenhouse Complex LLC. The lines pass through the habitat and migration routes of 240 bird species, 20 of which are listed in the Red Book.
First stage of revamping Kondopoga 330 kV substation for central areas of Karelia completed
Rosseti FGC UES has completed revamping the switching equipment of Kondopoga 330 kV substation in the Republic of Karelia. State-of-the-art microprocessor-based protections are planned to be installed here by the end of 2021. The total cost of work is 330 mn rubles. This project will improve the reliability of power supply to consumers in the central areas of the republic with a total population of 600,000 people, as well as transit of energy from the Kola NPP to Leningrad region.
06/09/2020 Rosseti FGC UES begins new phase of constructing power supply facilities for compressor station #1 of Power of Siberia gas line Construction of a 50 MVA substation and a 12.3-km transmission line began in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to feed power to compressor station no. 1 Saldykelskaya of the Power of Siberia pipeline system. The facilities will be commissioned before the end of this year. In total, in 2020 Rosseti FGC UES (FGC UES, PJSC) will technologically connect three compressor stations of the gas line to the Unified National Power Grid (UNPG). The total cost of the projects is 2.1 bn rubles.
06/02/2020 Rosseti FGC UES accomplishes creation of power delivery scheme for Adygea windfarm Rosseti FGC UES has technologically connected Adygea, the largest windfarm in the south, to the Unified National Power grid. Armavir 330 kV and Tsentralnaya 500 kV substations have been revamped and 16.5 km of transmission lines have been built. The total cost of work amounted to 650.7 mn rubles. The new 150 MW windfarm will cover 20% of the electricity demand of the Republic of Adygea and raise the reliability of power delivery to consumers in the Krasnodar Territory.

Rosseti FGC UES has begun revamping the Pangody – Nadym 220 kV transmission line in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region. For higher reliability of the 205-km energy transit across permafrost areas, new concrete foundations for the line supports will be erected using polymer protective materials. The project is expected to be fully completed in 2022.

05/06/2020 Rosseti FGC UES enhances reliability of power supply to Rostov Region enterprises converted to manufacture face masks Rosseti FGC UES has repaired the switching equipment of the Shakhty 500 kV substation, a key utility in the Rostov Region. This allows increasing the reliability of power supply for the city of Shakhty, where three textile factories have begun manufacturing face masks and overalls for medical workers since April. The enterprises are fed through Donenergo networks.

Rosseti FGC UES (PJSC FGC UES) has commenced preparing its grid facilities for the autumn and winter period (AWP) of 2020-2021. The maintenance campaign will cover repair work at substations and transmission lines in 79 regions of presence. The scheduled measures will improve the reliability of power delivery to consumers, including the most loaded season. Upon the AWP in 2019-2020, the UNPG accident rate became 12% lower.

04/14/2020 Rosseti FGC UES provides electricity for Russia's largest gold placer deposit Rosseti FGC UES (PJSC FGC UES) has upgraded the power and switching equipment of the Nizhni Kuranakh 220 kV substation in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). It has provided the release of 5.95 MW from the Unified National Power Grid for the external power supply of the largest gold placer deposit in Russia, Bolshoi Kuranakh (deep lead), which is developed by GV Gold.
04/09/2020 Rosseti FGC UES releases 130 MW of additional power from UNPG to Apatit Plant, one of the biggest fertilizer manufacturer in Europe Rosseti FGC UES (PJSC FGC UES) has increased the output of power released from the Unified National Power Grid to Apatit Plant in Cherepovets (part of FosAgro PJSC) by 87.4%, up to 278.9 MW. Power is delivered to the enterprise by eight 220 kV lines from Cherepovetskaya 500 kV, the key substation of the Vologda region. The additional power is needed to expand the manufacture of chemicals.
04/06/2020 Rosseti FGC UES to provide more than 90 MW power of Azov WPP for Rostov power system Rossetti FGC UES (FGC UES, PJSC) completed the first phase of upgrade of 220 kV A-30 substation in the Rostov Region for the utility connection of the Azov Wind Power Plant owned by Enel Russia PJSC to the Unified National Power Grid. The air-insulated switchgear substation of 110 kV power facility was extended. In next phase, some new power equipment is expected to be installed. The work will be fully accomplished by the end of 2020. The total amount of investments will be about RUB 410 mn.
04/02/2020 Rosseti FGC UES upgrades 330 kV Kursk substation involved in power generation from Kursk NPP and power supply of main pipelines The installation of a new 330 kV gas-insulated switch hardware at the Kursk Region power supply node center - 330 kV Kursk substation - was completed. The total cost of work exceeded RUB 141 mn. The project enhanced sustainability of the power generation scheme of one of the largest power plants in Russia - the Kursk NPP - and reliability of power supply for the facilities of the Druzhba oil pipeline and the Urengoy - Pomary - Uzhgorod gas pipeline.
Rosseti FGC UES completely renovates its 110 kV circuit breaker fleet at 220 kV Orbita substation to energize the Nizhnevartovsk district of Yugra
Rossetti FGC UES (FGC UES, PJSC) completed a project for upgrade of the switching equipment of the 220 kV Orbit substation in Yugra, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Territory. The 110 kV circuit breakers were completely replaced at the power facility allowing to increase the reliability of power supply to the consumers in the Nizhnevartovsk power district, including to the industry plants of Oil Company Rosneft, PJSC. The total cost of work amounted to about RUB 235 mn.
03/26/2020 Rosseti FGC UES provides 86 MW of power for Caspian Pipeline Consortium Rosseti FGC UES (FGC UES, PJSC) summed up the results of the scheduled measures to energize the facilities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). Starting from 2013, 130 MVA of transformer capacity was commissioned in the power system of Kuban, connecting lines to new substations from the existing 220 kV lines were built. Pursuant to the contract, 86 MW power were provided to a consumer from the Unified National Power Grid.
03/24/2020 Rosseti FGC UES starts testing innovative system of power grid protection at the largest substation in Moscow Rossetti FGC UES (FGC UES, PJSC) installed an innovative controlled switching device (CSD) at the most powerful power supply facility in Moscow - 500 kV Ochakovo substation. The equipment developed by specialists of the company's scientific and technical center and the All-Russian Relay Engineering Research Institute is designed to protect power grid facilities from over-voltages.
